‘HELPING TO HEAL’
ID PROJECT – Galway Rape Crisis Centre
Capturing the voices of six survivors of sexual violence, ‘Helping to Heal’ depicts the significant role that the services of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre (GRCC) play in Galway City and the wider Galway community.
YOUTH VOICE BRISBANE – WALK IN MY SHOES
The Youth Voice project is funded by the Australian Government and supported by QPASTT, however it is RUN by young people aged 12-25 years from diverse backgrounds who are keen to explore ideas and educate their peers and the broader community on social justice issues, social policy and government processes impacting on young people. Over the 2013-2014 summer, I worked with Youth Voice Brisbane to produce a number of short films based on the theme ‘Walk in My Shoes’. Here is Arwin’s beautiful short film ‘Seeking Freedom’.
Colour was produced as part of a community engagement project aimed to identify and showcase unique dance styles- both traditional and contemporary- which can be found in Brisbane urban and suburban youth communities.
The music video was developed for Queensland Museum’s Collect-O-Mania exhibition and highlights a ‘collection’ of dance moves and suggests, as part of the exhibition, that less tangible items such as dance moves and memory are also collectable.
